Long-term PSP tenants, Acronyms, have been celebrating an extended period of growth by investing in new staff, support software and improved branding.
The IT and unified comms provider work with businesses across the country to supply IT infrastructure, IT support and unified comms such as VoIP telephony. Over recent years, they have enjoyed steady growth and this year made the decision to reinvest in the business.
Dave Smith, Managing Director of Acronyms, remembers the company’s early days when he worked from his co-founder’s living room.
“It’s been 14 years since Acronyms was founded, and the journey we’ve been on has been fantastic. It all started in my colleague’s living room and now we’re helping businesses across the South West and far away as Aberdeen. Over the last few years, my team have worked incredibly hard to help our business grow and we’re committed to helping that growth with continued investment.”
Over the last few months, Dave has worked tirelessly with his technical team to introduce a new support system which will allow Acronyms to offer more efficient technical support,
“We offer businesses technical support both remotely and at their site, but everything we do is underpinned but the tools we use each and every day. If we want to continue providing an excellent service, it’s only right that we use the very best tools available to us. Therefore, we’ve invested heavily in software that will allow us to be more proactive in maintaining our client’s systems and better at reacting and resolving any issues that we encounter.”
Despite balancing a technical position and the Managing Director role himself, Dave is under no illusions as to how important people are to his business.
“I’m lucky to have a loyal, hardworking workforce. The majority of the team are from or have studied within the local area. They take great pleasure in ensuring local businesses thrive and have allowed us to grow in the manner that we have. We’ve recently hired three new members of staff that all share this passion and I’m delighted with the progress they’ve made to date.”
To celebrate the growth, Dave juggled his time implementing new software, to focus on the branding of his company. Together with his Marketing Manager and local design agency N9 Design, he has overseen the development of an improved brand identity. The new branding encompasses the existing Acronyms’ red but adopts a new logo and strapline. It has been applied to a new website which can be seen here, as well all company literature and sign-written company vehicles.
If there’s anything you’d like to discuss with Acronyms they can be found on the top floor of Phase 2, at the back of the building. We’d be happy to arrange any discussions or you can contact the company directly via their website.
