Scottish Advice Firm ‘Accoutns Financial Services’ Joins Succession
Chartered financial planning firm Accountants Financial Services (Scotland) Limited has joined Succession Advisory Services as a member firm. Paul Scarff, managing director of the Edinburgh and Glasgow-based firm, said joining Succession was the “natural next step” for his intermediary business.
The decision to join Succession adds £190m in funds under management to the consolidator’s membership.
“We have a clear vision to develop our proposition and the well-regarded team at Succession will provide the specialist expertise and support to help us achieve our long-term goals. Succession will deliver immediate benefits to our business that will enhance the client experience in a manner that we couldn’t do alone.” – Paul Scarff
Mr Scarff added he had been impressed by Succession’s integrated wealth planning solution.
“Our size and expertise attracts high-caliber IFA businesses like AFS, helping them build on their existing strengths and continue to deliver a high-quality service. Our investment in technology, training and support further enhances businesses that want to focus on their relationships with clients.” – Sanjay Shah, group proposition director of Succession Advisory Services
The deal with AFS is the first since last month when Succession’s founder and chief executive, Simon Chamberlain, died suddenly. The company’s chairman, Ray Pierce, took on permanent leadership of the advice consolidator and pledged that Succession’s plans will remain unchanged.
