Europa Sport Academy UK partner for ‘Active Businesses’ Project

Europa Sport AcademyThe project duration is for three years and aims to create a comprehensive based approach to tackle the issue of health and physical activity (HEPA), using the workplace as the venue of delivery, and to promote physical activity within businesses to improve the wellbeing of staff and ultimately help boost productivity and profitability of the companies that promote this initiative.

The project is called ‘Active Businesses’ and has partners in Slovenia, Italy, Poland and Turkey. The first stage is to get as many businesses as possible to complete a questionnaire (for both employees and employers) which will form the base research for the whole project.

Europa Sport Academy, is the UK partner for this project worth just under 400,000 Euros for three years.

This is the third EU project Europa Training have won this year, the others include:

  • “StayMobil” a 300,000 Euro project over two years promoting quality within Europe mobility exchanges
  • “Sustain-T”  a 250,000 Euro project to promote Sustainable Tourism through Networking and Collaboration

Europa Training are in the final year of another large EU project (300,000 Euro) – “InnCommerce” – Gamified Training for Successful Commercialization of Young SMEs Innovation, where the final  conference will be held at the PSP this August.

And finally they are partners in a project called “Well-School-Tech” (200,000 Euro) which is promoting wellbeing management in schools by creating new initiative to reduce social exclusion. So far we have engaged with over 15 local schools and over thirty schools nationally in the UK on this project.
