The Industrial Strategy – Making it work for you!
January 26th - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
An insight into the UK government’s Industrial Strategy for businesses and academics
- When: Friday 26th January 2018, 10:00-16:00
- Where: Plymouth University, Rolle Plaza Marquee
By now, many of us will have heard of the ‘Industrial Strategy’, through which the government aims to deliver increased productivity and growth. But what does it really mean for businesses, academics and local policy makers? What opportunities does it create? And what challenges does it set?
This event will shed light on these important questions – with speakers from both HEFCE and Innovate UK providing a unique insight to explain precisely what the Industrial Strategy is, what funding will be available to support it and, crucially, how it can benefit YOU.
Business / University collaboration sits at the heart of the Industrial Strategy. Join us to hear about some recent successful collaborations and how they work in practice, and to learn how to build effective partnerships between businesses and academics that benefit all sides.
There will also be the opportunity to visit some of the University’s state of the art facilities and hear “partnership pitches” from researchers across the breadth of the University’s Marine and Maritime expertise.
