Project Based Funding Opportunities

Are you interested in learning about Innovate UK funding opportunities for your business, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and how to collaborate with Plymouth University?
Please come along for a morning coffee and Danish pastry and hear from:
- Andy Treen – Knowledge Transfer Manager: Innovate UK
- Paul Winterton – Managing Director: Langage Farm
- Mandy Bowden – Specialist Advisor: Plymouth University
- Dave Marshall – Specialist Adviser: Plymouth University
Andy Treen will discuss the latest developments at Innovate UK, funding competitions and the funding mechanisms for supporting innovation and driving wealth creation. He will also review the new sector priority areas. As a Regional KTP Advisor he will share his experience of working with numerous companies of all size and sector and the typical benefits that all partners receive.
Mandy Bowden and Dave Marshall will be reflecting on the value of collaboration with the University through Innovate UK’s flagship programme Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. An SME will receive a 67% grant typically equating to £50k to part fund a top quality graduate supported by academic expertise and access to cutting edge facilities.
Paul Winterton currently collaborating with Food Technologists and the Electron Microscopy Centre from Plymouth University on a 30 month KTP. Eighteen months into the project Paul will be recounting his experiences so far and the considerable benefits achieved to date.
It is the intention that this will be a relaxed and interactive session with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and gain knowledge of these exciting opportunities.
A KTP can provide you with a talented graduate working in your business for 12-36 months dedicated to your demanding project including assistance from University experts all for around £25k per year.
