Save the lives of others, while going about yours
October 10th - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
According to NHS Blood & Transport, each unit of donated blood saves 3 lives so to commemorate the 1,000th employee working on the park, PSP want to save 1,000 lives by donating 333 units of blood (plus one).
NHS Blood will be holding TWO registration sessions on Tuesday 10th October where you can become a registered donor (don’t worry you won’t be asked to give any blood – well, just a pin prick).
Registration on 10th October:
- 10am-12pm – PSP Main Reception Building
- 1pm-3pm – 5 Research Way
Just turn up or advice PSP reception you will be registering: firstname.lastname@example.org
There will be complimentary tea, coffee and cakes for all registrations!
Over the next 12 months all of PSPs donors will be encouraged to give blood at the donation centre which is on the Derriford Hospital site and just 3 minutes walk from the park. Males can donate a maximum of four time per year and females can donate three times.
About the Give Blood Initiative
Our blood donors make a difference every day, saving people whose lives depend on blood. Over the last year 900,000 people have given up their time by donating blood to help patients in need. But we need 200,000 new blood donors to ensure that patients in the future have access to the blood they need, when they need it.
When you give blood, you can save someone’s life while going about your own. All you need to do is give blood, and you’ll be right there, helping someone when they need it.
