Ian McFadzen – Chief Executive Officer
Ian has 30 years’ experience in the public and private sectors and brings expertise in translating research outputs into commercially viable business opportunities, particularly in the fields of biomedicine and life sciences. Ian was previously at the University of Plymouth, where he was Commercial Director of the Marine Innovation Centre.
“The primary objective of Plymouth Science Park is to support the university, and in so doing the city of Plymouth, to further its aims and reputation with respect to science, innovation and its commercialisation. It is of paramount importance that Plymouth Science Park creates a ‘safe’ environment for entrepreneurial development, supporting a community of like-minded entrepreneurs and science and technology-based organisations who can ‘learn’ from one another other.”
Ian Pearce – Finance Director
Ian is a chartered accountant who has spent his career working with companies of all sizes in the medical and technology sectors. Having spent 8 years with KPMG he subsequently acted as finance director to a number of technology start-ups and overseas inward investment companies before joining the Park in 2008.
Stephen Holland – Estates & Premises Manager
Stephen manages the Estates and Premises team and has been involved in building design and management in the South West for 25 years. He has worked at senior level in the private and public sectors and has qualifications in architecture, building surveying and sustainable construction. The varied challenges and opportunities presented by estates management at Plymouth Science Park are well suited to the application of his experience and qualifications.
Jonathan Harris – ICT Operations Manager
Jonathan manages the ICT Services team at PSP and has 20 years experience in the sector specialising in data and telecommunications networks. He has worked for a diverse range of organisations in both the public and private sectors. Jonathan founded and currently Chairs the UK Science Park Association ICT Forum.
