Investigating the effects that active mattresses have on health
Plymouth Marjon University is calling for 12 healthy volunteers of between 50 and 70 years of age to sleep on an active mattress overlay within their own homes.
It is envisaged that participants will experience mild improvements in circulation, and that this may lead to an improvement in general health and wellbeing.
The investigation will require participants to sleep on an active mattress as per their normal sleep regime for a period of 8 weeks and to attend two check up sessions at the University.
Please note that persons with an underlying health condition must regretfully be excluded from this study.
the Marjon University is holding an open event from 17.00 to 19.00 on Wednesday 19th July. Come along to meet the lead researcher, ask questions and to sit on a sample active mattress to test for comfort.
For more information, or if you are interested but can’t make the open event, please contact the lead researcher, Gary Baker by email on [email protected].
