IT support company and PSP tenant, Acronyms have expanded and opened a second office in the city of Bristol.
Their new office, situated just off the M4/M5 interchange, opens following a sustained period of growth for the Plymouth-based business.
Acronyms, who have been based at Plymouth Science Park for many years, celebrated years of sustained progress, by opening their second office and expanding into a new city last month. With clients based predominantly across the South West, but some as far afield as Aberdeen, the IT support company sought an opportunity to provide its services to a wider range of businesses across the Bristol region.
“By being based just off the M4 and M5 motorways, we not only have good access to Bristol, but also South Wales, Gloucestershire, Bath and a little further north, the Midlands. This is therefore an exciting opportunity to provide a greater number of businesses with best in class IT support.”
Despite the expansion up country, Acronyms have no plans on leaving Plymouth and have committed to further growth in the city.
“Our Headquarters will always be based in Plymouth. We enjoy being part of the Plymouth Science Park community and make good use of the facilities. The onsite Data Centre at PSP is a big bonus for us. Our clients love knowing that their data is stored securely in a local facility. Whilst the new office presents us with lots of exciting opportunities, it will also create opportunities here in Devon as we look to expand our headquarters.”
This growth naturally means that Acronyms are on the look out for new employees, in both junior and senior positions.
“Naturally, this growth means that we need more IT technicians to support our clients. We also need auxiliary staff members to support that workforce though – sales people and procurement experts to name but two.”
